This seedling quickly became one of our go-to varieties for events like weddings. It’s incredibly vigorous, producing long, sturdy stems and stunning 4" blush blooms on plants that reach about 4 to 4.5 feet tall. We went back and forth on whether to release this beauty, as we felt it didn’t have quite the petal count we typically look for. After much consideration, we decided not to keep it in our production lineup but instead to share it with our local community at our in-person sale.
Please note that this dahlia is best suited as an event or garden flower. While absolutely beautiful, it opens its center sooner than we prefer, making it especially pollinator-friendly. Its soft pink hue is reminiscent of that unmistakable blush when you see your crush hence the name Teenage Crush. And like many teenage crushes, its peak doesn’t last long, which made the name feel all the more fitting.
